Meditation

is the focus for the month of July in my Jivamukti class. We'll be exploring meditation as being both a verb and a noun. As the latter, joining in the act of meditation as one reflects and contemplates letting go of the whirlwind of thoughts entering constantly into our mind. In a verb form, mediation is the process of training to calm or empty the mind. For many of us, it is very difficult to meditate and as I have heard many teachers say, focus on your breathing, on each inhale and each exhale, not allowing one pass by without notice. It also helps me to focus on my seventh chakra that is located in the crown of the head, also associated with white or indigo color, as well as consciousness.
