Dancing Down-Dog

A rejuvenating pose, downward-facing dog has several benefits including strengthening and calming the brain. I find energy in this pose especially when my body and mind is exhausted from a series of previous poses. This pose has changed for me over the years; my hands and feet are firmly connected to the ground now, whereas before my heals were in the air and my hands were slipping from underneath me. It is easier for me when my limbs are closer together but I am striving to keep them the distance that my body sets in place after I roll my toes from my upward-facing dog. I love the constant change that my body is experiencing and adjusting, despite the hours of training.
