Hot Yoga

I love practicing in the summer time as the heat of the season allows me to get further into some poses. Yesterday's Vinyasa practice was extra challenging for me because it was over 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside and probably warmer in the studio especially during the session. There were times when all my body wanted was to lay down and rest in Balasana (Child's pose) or Sivasana (the final resting corpse pose). I kept focused on my breath and I was able to pass through the moments of exhaustion, and when the class ended, I my energy was replenished and the temperature outside that was still sweltering hot, did not bother me anymore.
