I practiced and taught yoga classes based on what I learned and what felt good at the time. By conditioning my baby-full body with movement and meditation, I felt prepared and exited as each week passed. I completely trusted and surrendered to my body, allowing my mind to go deep inside, focused and relaxed, letting it do what it is meant to do; birth my baby. Most of my labor was active; walking, standing, squatting, and kneeling, often changing positions and finally, in a supported squat, I delivered our baby.

Active Birth
