Second Trimester

Yes! I'm pregnant and approaching the end of my second trimester, and feeling amazingly well! While practicing Ashtanga primary series the other day, surprisingly I only had to modify a few postures to make room for my growing belly. The breath allows me to move continuously from pose to pose, some poses are effortless while others have become more challenging with the additional weight gain and distribution. In just another month, more will change, as my belly and baby grow bigger.

It took me some time before I added a prenatal yoga class into my weekly routine; so rewarding and nourishing, I don't know why I waited so long! A great lesson for me during this journey through pregnancy has been to surrender physically, mentally and emotionally as I change completely and prepare for birth. Listening to the feeling and voice within that tells me to slow down, relax, let go and accept everything that is happening right now, this moment and every minute.
